Advantages of working with a Registered Investment Advisor

• Reviews of your financial health

As a first step, an advisor assesses the client's financial risk and then advises based on the Risk profile, assets, liabilities, and future goals.

• Financial Plan

Advisors help you make your financial plan, including your inflows, savings, investment, and retirement planning.

• Convenience

Once you hire an Investment  Advisor, you don't need to manage your portfolio, which would save a lot of time and effort for you to focus on your core area of profession.

• Financial alignment and Transparency

Advisors work on an AUM-linked fee-based model. With this model, advisors do well when your investment portfolio does well, so alignment and transparency exist.

• Personal Bond-

A personal touch of guidance and advice is always better than a robotic and online investment mode.

• Regular review and rebalancing

It is an essential part of financial planning to review the investment portfolio and rebalance it based on changing scenarios.

• Investment documentation

Assisting with the paperwork and procedures instead of you have to handle all these nuances.

• Helping your loved ones

Though undesirable, in case of any contingency, an advisor/distributor guides your family members in getting details and transferring your investment to them.

Any disadvantages: Not as such; however, there are a few things to keep in mind:

Any disadvantages: Not as such; however, there are a few things to keep in mind:

• Initial Efforts

In the initial phase, you need to identify a trustworthy and professional advisor/distributor.

• Fee/commission

Investment Advisors charge   fees based on AUM while Mutual Fund companies pay distributors brokerage;   however, this compensation is worth considering the above benefits.

• Occasional discussion

It is essential to occasionally sit with the Advisor/distributor to discuss the portfolio and understand the rationale of investment advice/guidance so that there are no surprises later on and changes, if any, are implemented in time.
